• Located in the Gloria district, The Monte Castelo Hotel is in the south zone of the city, right next to downtown, with transportation to any part of the city and also a block from the subway station.

• The Gloria district is close to the biggest public park of the city, Aterro do Flamengo, with a beach, basketball and tennis courts, soccer fields, marina, bike and running track, all in a beautiful green area of town. The Nossa Senhora da Gloria do Outeiro Church, next to the Hotel, is one of the most beautiful landmarks in the city.

• The Cândido Mendes street , where the Hotel is located, offers easy access to the district of Santa Tereza which is a cultural reference, and to the Corcovado which is the most important attraction in Rio de Janeiro. The Lapa District serve as a bohemian and historical hiding place and is a few blocks from the Hotel, with access by foot. Being in the South Zone, there is easy access to Sugar Loaf, Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon.

* Besides subway and many bus lines, there is a Taxi Company right in front of the Hotel. The taxi drivers are our acquaintances and offer fair prices.
